About Morris Basir Designs
Morris Basir Designs makes bespoke doors, staircases, panelling, kitchens, wardrobes and media walls for homes across London and the South East. The work speaks for itself, so the website had one job: put it in front of homeowners and architects beautifully, on any phone, and make getting a quote effortless.
The goal
What the site had to do
Bespoke joinery is bought on trust and on the quality of what people can see. The site needed to feel as considered as the work: warm, quiet typography, real project photography and nothing that looked like a template.
Behind the scenes it had to be simple to keep fresh. New work is posted to Instagram far more often than to a website, so the site needed to pull that in automatically, and every page had to load fast on a phone, which is where most enquiries start.

Cinematic video hero
A full-bleed film of the workshop fades into the headline on desktop. Phones get a lightweight poster image instead, so the page stays fast on mobile data.
Twelve service pages
Internal and front doors, skirting and architraves, stairs, panelling, kitchens, windows, restoration, media walls, wardrobes and bespoke pieces, each illustrated with real project photos.
Categorised project gallery
Doors, stairs, kitchens, bathrooms and bespoke work in their own galleries, with lightbox viewing and lazy-loaded images so the page never stalls.
Live Instagram feed
The latest posts from the workshop appear on the site automatically through the Instagram Graph API, with the access token refreshed in the background.
Friction-free enquiries
A short quote form delivered straight to the firm’s Microsoft 365 inbox, plus one-tap call and email buttons on every page.
Built to last
Hand-written PHP with pre-compiled Tailwind CSS, no heavy frameworks to patch, and automatic deployment from git so updates go live in minutes without downtime.
