Privacy policy
How we collect, use and protect the information you share with us — in plain English.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Who we are
WebProud (“we”, “us”) is a UK web design studio. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, email info@webproud.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you’re interested in, your budget range and your message. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that email.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may also record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and running smoothly.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a confirmation that we’ve received it.
- To prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, to deliver and support the work we agree.
- To protect our website and forms from spam and abuse.
We will never sell your information and we don’t send marketing emails from enquiry details.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we process enquiry details because you have asked us to take steps before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)), and for our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business (Article 6(1)(f)).
Cookies
We use a single, strictly necessary session cookie that keeps our contact form secure. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies, and our fonts are hosted on our own server so no third party is contacted when you browse.
Our contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis, and Google may set its own cookies. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with the service providers we need to run our business: our website host, our email provider and Google (for reCAPTCHA). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they are required to protect it with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If you become a client, we keep the information needed to manage our working relationship and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict it, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email info@webproud.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
